It was getting late. After a long night of meetings and prayer, our young church leadership team discovered that we were starving and had better go find something to eat before all the nearby establishments closed. IHOP was the best late night option- so off we went.

As our group disembarked in the parking lot we noticed a woman sitting on the curb just outside the restaurant. Thinking nothing of it we pushed through the doors, our minds on the pancakes and sausage awaiting us.

About ten minutes later, one of the boys in our group thought he saw something strange outside. We soon realized the woman we had seen earlier on the curb, was now having some sort of seizure!

Rushing outside, one of us called 911. With no real medical training, we helped her as best we could, and all of us circled around and began to pray. Praise the Lord, the seizure stopped and soon we were able to share with her about Jesus. The International House of Pancakes in that instant, became an International House of Prayer!

Isn’t it amazing how God puts us in the right place at the right time? Not only did this woman quickly receive the medical attention she needed; But, she had the opportunity in the aftermath of a very frightening circumstance, to hear about the love of God and His healing mercies.

Pancakes and Prayer- open 24 hours a day!
