Many Christians suffer from a lack of growth in their faith. Many of them are also looking for answers on how to grow in their faith. Here are six tips for growth in faith that can help you during your search.
Understanding Second Adam
You have a need for certainty. When you start to doubt yourself, you are not likely to go far in your walk with God. Doubts lead to fear and this fear can eventually manifest itself into doubts and even arguments. We are born with Adam and Eve’s sin. Adam was created first and then Eve was taken from the rib of Adam. “And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.” Genesis 2:21–22
However, how modern Christians should look into their birth process is explained by Apostle Paul where he mentioned that we are not from the first Adam, we are from the second adam. “And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.” 1 Corinthians 15:45-47
This is where Christians these days are unable to understand their origin and how they born or get born-again experience through Christ Jesus. The Bible also mentions that for Christians to be entered into the kingdom of God must be born-again. “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, unless a man be born again, he can not see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, unless a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” John 3:3-7
So, you need to ask yourself how you were created and then ask God how He made you the way He does.

When you lack certainty, you tend to be negative. Even the things that seem small and insignificant to you. When a person lacks confidence in his or her ability, it shows. This negativity has a tendency to hold you back from progressing in your search for the Lord.
Understand Gift of Faith
When you lack faith, you tend to limit God in your life. This is one of the main tips for growth in faith that you need to keep in mind. The Bible says no one can please God without faith. “Without faith, no one can please God. Anyone who comes to God must believe that he is real and that he rewards those who truly want to find him.” Hebrews 11:6
In another reference, the Bible says that faith is a gift from God; “I mean that you have been saved by grace through believing. You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God.”Ephesians 2:8

You need to understand the importance of constant prayer and reflection. Some may have heard of the phrase “pray and be thirsty.” This expression comes directly from the Word of God. To walk in faith, you need to be willing to pray and be thirsty for God. When you understand how modern Christians can develop this faith, you will see that it is easier than you think.

If you find that you aren’t getting anywhere, you should just stop trying. The bottom line is that if you want to grow in the faith, you need to learn how modern Christians can be more open with each other. While it is vital to be able to listen to each other’s advice, there is nothing more important than understanding the basics about who you are and what you believe.
Tips for modern Christians aren’t simple because they aren’t designed to be easy for everyone to follow. The truth is that you are unique and that every Christian experiences things differently.
